CTUK can organise and manage your sports event ideas
The first event we created with Macmillan Cancer Support, was the Peddle Paddle Pace (PPP) event in Winchester consisting of a 20km bike ride, a 5km run and a 1.5km kayak on the Itchen Navigation Canal. It is now a regular annual event and attracted over 350 entrants this year. Following on from that the Exclusive Hotel chain asked if CTUK could assist in developing a cycling challenge to mark their 30th anniversary. This resulted in the Exclusive Cycle Challenge which linked the Exclusive hotels by bike over 5 days and raised more than £100,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and £50,000 for the Springboard charity. Following on from this event Springboard asked if we could organise the Hotelympia 10k run held ever 2 years at the Excel building. This was particularly challenging because preparations were being made for the 2012 Olympics which was being held a few months later.
Also in 2012 Carluccios wanted to join up their restaurants in Glasgow, Leeds, Nottingham, Leicester, Milton Keynes, St Albans and London by bike and asked CTUK to develop routes and logistics to support that event. Together with a small fee from some of their dishes in the restaurants, Carluccios managed to accumulate over £800,000 for Action Against Hunger. The trip took 6 days and enlightened all involved of the fantastic network of quiet country roads that are available for cycling throughout the country.
