Equipment
It is of critical importance to Cycle Tours UK, that our guests have access to high quality equipment. Having the right bikes and clothing transforms the comfort level of the cycling experience. With comfort and safety always our priority, Cycle Tours UK tours are supplied with:
- Trek 7.6FX Hybrid Touring Bikes. Chosen for their light weight frames and easy to use Shimono gear systems these bikes are robust and with their narrow wheels are suited perfectly to road cycling.
- Topeak saddle bags and support rack. These are large enough for your daily needs including wallets, cameras, jackets and snacks, but small enough they don't add too much extra weight.
- A Cycle Tours UK water bottle will be supplied with every bike and can be kept after the tour as a memento of the trip.
- For those with ........ lets say ........ more sensitive derriers, softer gel saddles are available. Please request your saddle preference when booking.
- Cycle Tours UK recommends helmets are used on all tours and a selection are available for use.
- The weather in the UK is unpredictable. We suggest our guests bring cycle clothing that can be adapted for warm sunshine as well as the occasional shower and a cooler wind. Lightweight layers are the best solution. A Cycle Tours UK all-weather jacket designed to keep cyclists warm and dry in heavier showers can be provided if needed. On booking a tour, guests will be sent a list of cycle clothing suggestions we think will help toward making the right packing decisions.
