Cycling around the Isle of Wight
Cycling around the Isle of Wight offers dramatic coastlines, beautiful countryside and lovely small fishing villages, the most famous of which is Cowes where the annual sailing festival is held.
Osborne House
Visit the Country Estate of Queen Victoria and enjoy the gardens and the splendour of her seaside retreat.
Lymington Ferry
Get a ride from Winchester (45mins) through the New Forest, to Lymington and catch the early ferry across to Yarmouth.
Yarmouth
Just a short ferry ride from the mainland (30mins) and you are in the small coastal port of Yarmouth. You can spend the day visiting local sites or head off and explore the rest of the island.
Cowes
Cowes is the home of the annual sailing festival. As well as sailing there are many pubs and restaurants to stop off and have a welcome break by the sea.

The Needles
On the loop around the Isle of Wight, you are rewarded with spectacular views along the coasline to the tip of the island called The Needles.

Sandown
A lovely break along the route, looking over Sandown is the vineyard restaurant. There are also some Roman ruins in the neighbourhood.

Full Island Circuit
Full round the island circuit. Distance is 105kms with many hills (1400m of vertical), with spectacular scenery and sights along the way.
Half Island Circuit
Cycle up through Cowes and past Oscborne House and then cut across the island to the south coast. Distance is 75kms with some tough climbs over the central island.
Yarmouth to Cowes
Take an easy day and cycle up the coast to Cowes and relax over a long lunch by the sea. If you prefer to see the South Coast then cut back across the island.
